We had a luxurious ride on the express bus from Prague to Nuremburg, complete with a stewardess! The WC was a hoot - tucked in the center stairs with 4 of the curviest stairs to get you lowered into the tiny room. The door was cut out to fit the stairs! They served beverages and snacks - all for a price, but the ride was cushy and smooth.

Nuremburg has a main walkway all the way up to the Kaiserburg Castle, it's full of street musicians, shops, people of all ages, and gingerbread cookies. We toured the castle grounds even though it is on our tour once we join up with our cruise. We figure we have a lot of ground to cover with our tour, and we could at least spend some time in the outer gardens. 90% of the castle and the town was destroyed in WW2, and you can clearly see where the buildings have been rebuilt. The new building materials are of pink sandstone, but they are thankfully built in whatever style they were originally.
Beer and sausages are delicious here, and we were forced to try them at several restaurants!
Tomorrow the four of us will split up in the morning and meet in time to taxi to our ship. Another chapter begins!
